As I have explained previously, abortion is a bellwether issue. It shows your worldview; it shows how much value you have for human life at your core. Having said this, I know that some people are troubled by Donald Trump’s views on the issue that have not always been prolife. In the past he has even been strongly pro-abortion.
Here is a way to determine how to vote if abortion is important to you. Hiliary Clinton is radically committed to abortion. She supports spending tax dollars to perform abortions. She is very unapologetic about her support for abortion. If you are prolife, then Hiliary is definitely not your candidate.
Donald Trump is publicly proclaiming that he will work to further limit abortion rights, a strong prolife stand. You can argue that he is not really prolife and therefore, you should not vote for him if you are strong on this issue. That is until you consider that Donald is the only candidate that is talking about protecting life in the womb. None of the other four candidates believe in the prolife worldview. By that I mean, at best they are prolife but do not want the government limiting a woman’s right to choose They are couching their support in vague terms that sound good, but at the end of the day are still pro-abortion at their core.
So, if Trump does what he says he is a prolife candidate. If he is not telling the truth, he is at least more prolife than any other candidate. If you can live with any prolife progress regarding abortion, then Donald Trump is your best bet. Any incremental progress towards pro life is not just right, but also will save lives.
